Nina Van de Ven creates in her work a personal universe where the power of visual storytelling takes center stage. Her work is filled with references to various aspects of human existence. The attributes, motifs, and symbols that Nina combines in her work come from diverse sources, such as history, the occult, and everyday life. During the process, her works develop organically; although she starts with a plan, she adds associative images, and sometimes elements disappear. Ultimately, the creative process takes precedence over the original idea.
